The Creative (Teenager)'s Curse //   Day 7

12/20/2018

Hi. I'm not in that great of a mood this morning.

I woke up to the sound of my poor kitty puking all over my room and had to clean it up. It wasn't even fully digested, either, there were a ton of little meat-squares from her wet food, fully formed.

Euch. Sorry I had to put you through that description.

Yesterday's Stats

 On 12/19:
  • I wrote 296 words
  • I outlined 2 chapters
  • I put everything I knew about Ndangi, my current conlang project, onto ConWorkShop
  • I created verb tenses for Ndangi
  • I created a little bit of vocabulary for Ndangi
  • I made a font for the Ndangi script
  • I read 63 pages

The Creative's Curse

This is what I call what happens when a creative person has to stay up all night and get terrible sleep because they just have to finish whatever they're working on.

The Teenager's Curse

This is what I call what happens when a teenager has to stay up all night and get terrible sleep because of biology.

The Creative Teenager's Curse

This is what I suffer from, and it is what I went through last night. I stayed up until 1:15 am making a font for Ndangi which I can't even include in my book because I'm writing it in Google Docs (and no, I will not switch to another program), and I also can't show you effectively. But I had to make it. Fun. And then after finishing it at 1:15 am, I couldn't fall asleep until probably 1:30 or later. Probably later.

And then I woke up to the sound of my cat puking, with slightly over 7 measly hours of sleep and the seemingly biological incapability of myself to fall back asleep.

Great.

Sorry for this downer of a post, but I am just not in a great mood.

I gotta go. Seeya tomorrow.

EDIT: Just now, as I'm about to publish this post, some guy in a jeep showed up on my driveway (by the way, my parents aren't home) and set down what looked like an Amazon/UPS package on my doorstep. But he wasn't in a UPS or USPS or anything-like-that truck. No idea what this could be. I'll add another edit when I know it's safe.

EDIT 2: I just checked Amazon, and they said a package was left on the doorstep/handed off directly, so I guess it's real. But that's just really strange, wouldn't you think?

Actual ba-bye, I'll see you on the morrow.

Well, obviously not my favorite post but - hey - it was honest and I value honestly above most things.

Keep up the work. I think you are doing great!
