In left-leaning political thought, there are two big camps: reformism (with more support from moderates) and revolution (with more support from extremists).
I am clearly pro-revolution, but my deeper thoughts fall more in the middle of this spectrum. I believe that while, yes, electoral politics and the slow change of reformism are mostly ineffectual, my ideology is one of pain reduction. In my eyes, no matter how small or ineffectual a change, if it reduces the pain of anyone being exploited, it’s a net positive and should be enacted.
This is why, if I were of legal age to vote, I would always vote, and choose the lesser of all evils.
